National Coalition 100 Black Women
For over 40 years The NCBW has advocated for better health outcomes with their over 3200 members through community-based activities, public policy change-making activities, and gives information on how to get access to health care. NCBW's mission is to advocate for black women across the country and promote both gender and race equity in economics, education, and health. Even Though this organization has more than one focus, it also focuses on the importance of women of color's health and having access to proper help. The National Coalition of 100 black women dedicates its organization to the advancement of Black women and girls. Not only do they advocate for improvement in education and economics for women of color, but for the advancement of women of color’s health.NCBW provides various programs and initiatives to face challenges that women of color specifically face, including health disparities. Not only do they focus on advocacy, but leadership development. In summary, they help women of color by advocating for them to have more empowerment in health, economics, and education.
Close The Gap Initative
This organization has a dedicated team that includes communication strategists, health equity managers, consultants, and clinical managers with expertise and knowledge in public health and social work. This organization has also been endorsed and implemented by the Australian government and receives funding from the Australian government as well. Close the Gap shows and references data collection and reporting to track its progress. This website helps educate and advocate for improved pathways of good and specific care that many minorities are more unlikely to receive and gives resources to advance health equity by educating patients on their certain health issues. This website is dedicated to having fewer healthcare disparities in underserved communities. Close the Gap focuses on improving better access to the best care mostly for certain conditions minorities have. It partners with other organizations and healthcare providers to give targeted treatments and educational programs. This organization also promotes early detection in certain conditions.
